Xiaomi Gains 21.6% Growth in Q1 2017, As per IDC Report

Last year was not a satisfactory one for the Xiaomi smartphone business, not only the supply chain shortage problem issue, even the market share was also gradually down. Now the good news is that with Lei Jun's strategies Xiaomi began to control the supply chain, through which the supply capacity has come up with a greater improvement.

Market research firm IDC released the latest data showing the shipments of first quarter of 2017, where Xiaomi mobile phones has a market share of 9.0%. As a comparison, in the fourth quarter of last year, Xiaomi saw a great growth from 7.4% with 21.6% of increase in supply chain and is planning to gradually grab back more market share.

In general, the first quarter of each year has always been off-season for mobile phone shipments, but Xiaomi can make a come back to seize more markets, as per the expectations laid down by Lei Jun for this year. Last month we saw the launch of Xiaomi's latest flagship smartphone Mi6, which has been rated best performing Android smartphone as per AnTuTu Benchmark scoring.

Xiaomi have started spreading it's shipments into international markets rapidly this year with a range of its products besides just smartphones. According to Strategy Analytics report, Xiaomi phones has become India's most popular mobile phone brand. In addition to India, even in Indonesia, Russia, Pakistan, Ukraine, Israel and other countries, Xiaomi phones have been released with its high quality and cost-effective strategy which has become an advantage in the rapid occupation of the market.

Lei Jun is very clear over his word of opening more than 1000 Xiaomi's own stores called Mi Home. Whereas, more than 11 stores have been opened in China already in this year and also going to open them in other countries where India is going to witness it's first store sooner in this month. let us hope that Xiaomi can come up with more number of the inventive technological product it and have a taste of success this year.
