Redmi Note 4 has become the highest shipped smartphone in Q1 2017, set the new benchmark for the smartphone industry!
Xiaomi is not an unknown brand in the tech industry. It is dethroning the older smartphone players in the industry. Redmi Note 4 which was launched in India in January this year has managed to stay in the news for its all-rounding performance and record breaking sales. According to the latest report from International Data Corporation (IDC), Xiaomi has shipped 1.8 million units of Redmi Note 4 in Q1 2017 in less than 3 months and has become the highest shipped smartphone in Q1 in India.
Since Q4 2011, Samsung's J-series were dominating the market due to Samsung strong presence in the offline market but for the very first time the Redmi Note 4 rank past the Samsung mobile. It helped Xiaomi to dominate the online smartphone market with more than 40% market share which is more than the combined share of next 4 brands. Xiaomi India is also the #2 brand in the overall smartphone market with 14.2% market share only behind Samsung which is pretty much impressive as Xiaomi just entering into the offline segment. The data shows the popularity of Xiaomi phones in the competitive market like India.

Xiaomi has consistently been doing very well in India. This week only Xiaomi announced the another game changer smartphone in its price category the Redmi 4 in India during the launch event the company said, It has sold 4 million units of Redmi 3s and Redmi 3s prime smartphone in India. Xiaomi is getting all the love from consumers because of the best devices in their respective price category and better price to performance ratio and it is reflecting in the form of the record-breaking sales.
